still ill

I decree today that life
Is simply taking and not giving
England is mine - it owes me a living
But ask me why, and I'll spit in your eye
Oh, ask me why, and I'll spit in your eye
But we cannot cling to the old dreams anymore
No, we cannot cling to those dreams

Does the body rule the mind
Or does the mind rule the body ?
I don´t know....

Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am I still ill ?
Oh ...
Am I still ill ?
Oh ...

Does the body rule the mind
Or does the mind rule the body ?
I don´t know...

Ask me why, and I'll die
Oh, ask me why, and I'll die
And if you must, go to work - tomorrow
Well, if I were you I really wouldn't bother
For there are brighter sides to life
And I should know, because I've seen them
But not very often ...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am I still ill ?
Oh ...
Oh, am I still ill ?
Oh ...

It barks at no-one else but me,
like it's seen a ghost.
I guess it's seen the sparks a-flowin,
no-one else would know.
Hey man, slow down, slow down,
idiot, slow down, slow down.

Sometimes I get overcharged,
that's when you see sparks.
They ask me where the hell I'm going?
At a 1000 feet per second,

hey man, slow down, slow down,
idiot, slow down, slow down.

Hey man, slow down, slow down,
idiot, slow down, slow down.

catching up with asia*

i cant stop listening to...

Photobucket
The partial realization of a concept that's been bouncing around my head for a while.

You might recognize the voice of the sample I used for the intro (and outro). It's none other than Pat O'Brien of Access Hollywood. The ahhh suggestive content originates from the bootleg answering machine messages he left on some chicks phone from his well publicized whore mongering cocaine binge in 05. (how funny was that?!).

I cleaned it up, cut it up, sprinkled on a dash of simple delay and served it up just for this mix. Overt deviant indulgence never sounded so good, well... you know what I mean ;)

Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making.

prodigal

a young son leaves his father and squanders his inheritance. he becomes a lowly swine herder. after coming to his senses he returns home knowing that even if his father does disown him being one of his servants is still far better than feeding pigs. But when he returns home, his father greets him with open arms, and hardly gives him a chance to express his repentance; he kills a fatted calf to celebrate his return. The older brother becomes jealous at the favored treatment of his faithless brother and upset at the lack of reward for his own faithfulness. But the father responds:
Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

breaking news

Kristina first showed me Damien Hirst's jaw dropping installations. Just last year I read about his shark starting to smell foul in the museum and some preservatives had to be added. Well, here's the latest on the shark...it sold! 10.3 million pounds. that's british sterling folks, ahem, (clears throat)

nevertheless

ok, so i named my blog 'nevertheless', not only because i love that word, (how it sounds, how it's spelt and what it means) but because one of my faves, Vanessa Paradis has an amazing song called 'pourtant'. which in english means 'nevertheless'

"YOU'RE:
vague as fog and looked for like mail.
Father off than Australia.
Snug as a bug at home
Right, like a well done sum.
A clean slate. With your own face on."

...
Plath took her own life on the morning of February 11, 1963. Leaving out bread and milk, she completely sealed the rooms between herself and her sleeping children with "wet towels and cloths." Plath then placed her head in the oven while the gas was turned on.

why sylvia
why didnt you hold on
and wait for us
(i know this entry is morbid, but she means the world to me)

Symptoms of Inner Peace

A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experience
An unmistakable ability to enjoy the moment
A loss of interest in judging other people
A loss of interest in judging self
A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others
An inability to worry (this is a very serious symptom!)
Frequent overwhelming episodes of appreciation
Frequent acts of smiling
An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than to make them happen
An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

such a girl

today, one of my atlanta shows got cancelled, poor ticket sales. the cast was crushed. everyone having financial problems. what was interesting to me, in retrospect, was that people react so differently to bad news. some shut down, some cuss fuck...me, i cried like a bitch. got so emotional. felt i let my mom down again, because i promised some $. of course, it's alright. and we're alive and well, but now my eyes are burning me from the events of the day...
