There's only us, there's only this
RENT on broadway was so amazing. Ashamed to say im in the arts and never even knew the storyline. It just never popped out to me, no desire. Well, as Bob Marley says...lol, "things you refuse are the things you should use" I loved it galore. Glad i caught it before the final show Sept. 7th. Orchestra seats are the best...lucky me* Moved to tears gracefully, without any static.

Hand Modelling – the future's in your hands!
There are models who make a living from modelling their hands. Directors and photographers are looking for very specific things, and you'll need to look after your hands to make sure you get the job.
Sunscreen Every Day
Your hands get a lot of abuse. You use them every day for a huge variety of tasks and there's always the possibility that they may get damaged. If you are using your hands to earn money, you really need to look after them well, and have a daily routine that keeps them in the condition required for you to work.
Keep your skin looking clear and fresh, and protect your hands from the sun. Many of us only consider using sunscreen when the thermometer's rising, but our hands are exposed to the sun every day, whether it's hot or not. If you want to make a living from your hands, you will need to protect them with sunscreen every day.
Use plenty of moisturiser. Skin on your hands dries out quickly, so you need to moisturise regularly to ensure that the skin and nails stay in top condition.
Use a gentle scrub to exfoliate your skin. Choose one that's made from natural ingredients that will refresh your skin and keep it looking healthy.
Avoid Chores!
Here's the good news – if you're going to be a hand model, avoid washing up!
Your nails are important too. Have regular manicures to keep them neat. She may recommend wearing gloves as often as possible to protect skin and nails.
Good hand models can get a lot of work. If you think this aspect of modelling could be for you, find some agents who handle parts modelling and send in a couple of photographs.

For Sebastian, who hit the nail on the head
Do not discuss right and wrong.
Good and bad.
Pretty and ugly.
Some things, though right, were considered wrong for generations.
Since the value of righteousness may be recognized after centuries,
there is no need to crave immediate appreciation.

The people here keep to themselves, such an attractive privacy. I wonder if I'm attractive in my measures. My appetite is small but the gardner told me about a grocery store some yards down the road. I feel lured to buy a flask of something, but later. The breeze and tobacco create heaven. I make myself smile, I am enjoying my own company.

(this made me feel better)
First girlfriend: made me feel bad because I didn’t cherish my family as much as her nor did I want to one day have five kids like her.
Second girlfriend: belittled me for once mispronouncing Lacoste and for owning only three pairs of shoes.
Third girlfriend: inspired guilt when I reacted to her occasional cognitive dissonance/depression with utter confusion and disbelief. Also, I was way worse at calculus.
Current squeeze: I feel bad because I say so many cusses around her and sleep the day away while she wakes at 5:00 AM to swim laps

Shut-eye is the ultimate energizer, if you can get enough of it. For the 99.9 percent of us who can't; we have five instant uppers.
1. Skip the venti latte
You might be tempted to suck down the biggest coffee ever when you’re tired, but if you need lasting energy, sip a little at a time throughout your day. Harvard research found that small, frequent doses of caffeine helped people stay awake for 28 hours.
2. Sniff something lemony
Splurge on that citrus hand cream: A new study found that whiffs of lemon made women feel peppier. “The scent increases production of norepinephrine, a hormone associated with energy,” says lead study author Janice Kiecolt-Glaser, Ph.D.
3. Eat some good carbs
The fiber in whole grains like brown rice and whole-wheat bread provides a long-lasting source of energy for your brain and muscles, says metabolism researcher William Evans, Ph.D. Simple carbs like sweets will give you a quick rush but leave you tired later.
4. Spend five minutes with some funny online videos
It might not seem terribly productive, but laughing at a guy flying off a speeding treadmill will perk you up temporarily. Research shows that a hearty chuckle revs up the respiratory system, oxygenating the body and making you feel awake.
5. Get moving
A low-intensity workout like a short bike ride can boost energy levels by 20 percent, researchers at the University of Georgia in Athens found. Regular exercise also improves sleep—so when you do hit the sack, you sleep more soundly and wake more rested.

"A Good Man Is Hard To Find"
by Flannery O'Connor
Behind the ditch they were sitting in there were more woods, tall and dark and deep. In a few minutes they saw a car some distance away on top of a hill, coming slowly as if the occupants were watching them. The grandmother stood up and waved both arms dramatically to attract their attention. The car continued to come on slowly, disappeared around a bend and appeared again, moving even slower, on top of the hill they had gone over. It was a big black battered hearselike automobile. There were three men in it.
It came to a stop just over them and for some minutes, the driver looked down with a steady expressionless gaze to where they were sitting, and didn't speak.

Sylvia
Paralytic
It happens. Will it go on?---
My mind a rock,
No fingers to grip, no tongue,
My god the iron lung
That loves me, pumps
My two
Dust bags in and out,
Will not
Let
me relapse
While the day outside glides by like ticker tape.
The night brings violets,
Tapestries of eyes,
Lights,
The soft anonymous
Talkers: 'You all right?'
The starched, inaccessible beast.
Dead egg, I lie
Whole
On a whole world I cannot touch,
At the white, tight
Drum of my sleeping couch
Photographs visit me---
My wife, dead and flat, in 1920 furs,
Mouth full of pearls,
Two girls
As flat as she, who whisper 'We're your daughters.'
The still waters
Wrap my lips,
Eyes, nose and ears,
A clear
Cellophane I cannot crack.
On my bare back
I smile, a buddha, all
Wants, desire
Falling from me like rings
Hugging their lights.
The claw
Of the magnolia,
Drunk on its own scents,
Asks nothing of life.
